Dr. Becky Bolinger received her Ph.D. from the CSU Department of Atmospheric Science in 2014. During her five years as a graduate student, she worked with the Colorado Climate Center to develop a weekly drought monitoring product for the Upper Colorado River Basin and studied the hydrologic cycle and climate variability of the Upper Colorado River Basin. From 2014 to 2016, she worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow for NOAA’s Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory and Detroit’s Army Corps of Engineers as part of UCAR’s Postdocs Applying Climate Expertise (PACE) Fellowship program. She worked with the Army Corps to develop tools for seasonal climate prediction over the Great Lakes. She returned to the Colorado Climate Center in late 2016, and now focuses her efforts on climate monitoring, communicating and disseminating climate information, researching Colorado’s climate variability and extremes, and engaging stakeholders to meet their climate related needs.
